As we've pointed out in this newsletter before interest rates moved up considerably last summer peaking right about mid-July. Since then and despite a Fed rate increase rates have been steadily declining. Additionally, the Fed has stated they are cutting back from four potential rate increases in 2016 to two.
We know most plans arent trying to time rates for a plan termination but for PRT timing is important. So it is hard to make a call this early but is the Japan experience happening here?

WE believe that the following rates applied to the mortality scale of MP 2015 will give you a pretty good indivation of a group annuity contract. Use the smaller rate for small contracts.
